What custom software is

Off-the-shelf software is designed for the average company in each sector. When operations depart from that standard, the gaps are filled with spreadsheets, emails and manual tasks.

Custom software is designed around the company's process. It covers every step as the team performs it, with the rules, calculations and permissions required. And it takes the most suitable form: web application, desktop program, mobile app or automated background process.

It does not replace what already works: it integrates with existing applications so data flows with no manual intervention. And if an existing tool or Odoo already meets the need, we say so before developing anything.

What we do

Four services depending on what needs to be built, available together or separately. In all of them, the software integrates with existing systems.

Internal tools

Applications for the team's daily work: web, desktop or mobile, depending on where and how they are used.

Includes

  • Analysis of the process and who is involved at each step
  • Choice of platform: web, desktop or mobile
  • Screen design with the users
  • Integration with the ERP, CRM and other tools
When it is needed
Operations depend on spreadsheets, emails or tools that do not fit the way the company works.
Deliverable
Software that covers the complete process, integrated with existing systems and documented.

Unmaintained software?

If the application was built by someone who is no longer available, has become outdated or nobody dares to change it, we review it. We analyse the code, the architecture and the data. Then we set out what is worth keeping, what to improve and what to rebuild, without starting from scratch unless necessary.

Beyond custom software

Custom development rarely works in isolation. We also take care of what surrounds it.

Odoo

If an ERP already covers part of the need, we do not reinvent it: we implement Odoo and develop only what is missing.

Integrations

If connecting existing tools is enough, without developing a new one, we solve it with an integration.

Technology consulting

Before developing, we review the architecture and help decide what to build, what to reuse and how.

Frequently asked questions about custom software

What kind of software can you develop?

Whatever the operations require: web applications, desktop programs, mobile apps, customer portals or automated background processes. The platform is chosen according to who will use it and from where.

Will it integrate with the applications we already use?

Yes, it is part of the project. The connection is made through each tool's APIs or, where they have none, through files or access to their database. This avoids moving data between systems by hand.

When is custom development worthwhile?

When the company's way of working is part of its competitive advantage and no existing software covers it without forcing it. If an off-the-shelf tool or Odoo meets the need, we will recommend it before developing anything.

Which technologies do you work with?

Technology is chosen according to the project, with a preference for established, open-source technologies that any team can maintain. The choice is justified in the technical proposal.

Is it possible to start with a smaller version?

Yes, and it is often the best approach. Work starts with the essentials, which are put in the team's hands and extended based on what is learnt through use.

How much does custom development cost?

It depends on the scope and the chosen working model. With a defined scope, the price is fixed. If the scope will take shape through use, work is billed hourly or under a mixed model. It is determined after the diagnostic session.
